INTRODUCTION

Clayton Campbell is known to the international arts community as a practicing artist, who works as a cultural producer developing projects for fellow artists, as a consultant to major cultural foundations, and as a published arts writer.

Clayton Campbell is a long time visual artist whose digital photographic and media work often explore new visual strategies to promote public dialogue through social commentary and engagement. His seminal 2004 work “Words We Have Learned Since 9-11” has been exhibited at Nam June Paik Art Center, Korea; the Maison Europeenne de la Photographie, Paris; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; the Higher Bridges Art Center, Enniskellin, Northern Ireland; the WYSPA Art Institute, Gdansk, Poland; the University Nevada Las Vegas; the Aaran Gallery, Tehran, Iran; the Museum of Mobile, Alabama; and Unit 24 Gallery, London.
